Marcus is racing several series in the UK, but the RHL British Youth nationals is the one he is focussing on most. The first round was held at Fatcat motopark and is really a great track on the eye. Marcus was up-beat about his chances and managed the 5th fastest time in qualifying, but less than a second off the leader. Marcus had also recently done some work on the bike to get it more competitive and it showed with 2 emphatic wins in heat 1 and 2. Unfortunately, the setup was wrong and the bike seized in heat 3.
Riding his practice bike in heat 4, the brakes failed and he ended way down the field. He came back with a 2nd, 3rd and a 4th, to round out the weekend in 5th.
This was not the start he had hoped for, but there are not too many points between the top 5. Marcus also took a few positives out of the first 2 heats wins. They will do some work to get the settings of the bike 100% and be ready for round 2.
